FAQ

Questions Patients Often Ask

Starting psychiatric care can bring up a lot of questions. Here are answers to help you feel more informed and confident before your first visit.

What to expect at your first visit

Your first telehealth appointment is a conversation—not a test. You'll share your history, discuss what you're experiencing, and explore options together. There's no pressure to decide anything on the spot.

Is medication always necessary?

Not at all. Medication is one tool among many. Your provider will discuss clinically appropriate options, including potential benefits, risks, and alternatives, and work with you to develop a treatment plan that reflects your needs and preferences.

How does telehealth work?

Many patients find it easier to open up from home. You choose a private space, connect through a secure platform, and receive the same quality of psychiatric care—without the stress of a waiting room.

How often will I follow up?

Follow-up frequency is based on your provider's clinical recommendations and your individual treatment needs—not a fixed schedule. Your provider will discuss what makes sense for your care.

What if I need help between appointments?

Our care team is available to help with scheduling, insurance questions, and care coordination. For clinical concerns between visits, your provider will discuss the appropriate way to reach them based on your treatment plan.

Do you accept my insurance?

We participate with a growing number of major insurance plans. Participation varies by provider, state, and plan—our team can help verify your coverage before you book.
